His awards and honors include a Pushcart Prize, the Bordighera Prize in Poetry, the Anthony Piccione/MAMMOTH Books Poetry Prize, an Irving Gilmore Emerging Artist Foundation Fellowship, and Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs Individual Artist Fellowship.
Gerry LaFemina's latest collection is the forthcoming The Story of Ash coming out in early 2018 from Anhinga Press. With cover art by the legendary guitarist of Television, Richard Lloyd, it's been hailed by poet Maggie Anderson as "Richly descriptive, both haunted and haunting, The Story of Ash is a brilliant tragi-comedy in which memory is “the last shelter any of us have.”
